This project is part of the DIY Halloween Costumes with Balloons Series.

Halloween costumes don’t have to be expensive or difficult to create—especially for kids. A little lady in a yellow dress becomes a beaming ray of sunshine with this DIY sun balloon costume.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Inflate the yellow balloon with your Balloon Time Helium Tank and tie with fishing line.
  2. Cut out seven triangles from your cardstock plus seven skinny strips of paper, about 3” long each.
  3. Use small pieces of clear shipping tape to attach the triangles, evenly spaced, around the balloon. To make the triangles stand up, tape one end of the paper strip to the balloon (just behind the triangle) and one end to the triangle, curving slightly in between.
  4. Don a yellow dress, and you’re a cute little ray of sunshine!
