Birthday Door Balloon Surprise
DIY Project, Styling, Text and Photos by Confetti Sunshine

If there is one thing every birthday needs, it is balloons! And, while balloons are great for parties, they are also perfect for adding a little extra excitement on someone’s actual birthday. Surprise your birthday boy or girl with this easy to create birthday balloon door. When they wake up in the morning, a fabulous bouquet of balloons will be waiting to surprise them when they open the door!
Supplies:
- Balloon Time Helium Tank
- Latex balloons
- String or ribbon
- Crepe paper streamer
- Clear tape

Instructions:
- First, cut the crepe paper streamer into widths that are as wide as your door frame. Tape the streamer to the door frame across the front of the door. This should leave about 3 inches between the streamer and the door. Tape a crepe paper streamer every 12 inches up the door frame.
- Use your Balloon Time Helium Tank to fill 9-12 latex balloons. Tie string or ribbon to the balloons. Note: Typical helium-filled latex balloons will float for 5-7 hours. If you’re preparing the balloons the night before, use Hi-Float, found online and at party stores, to ensure they float all night.
- Next, one at a time, carefully slip a balloon in between the door and crepe paper streamer. Continue adding balloons until you have secured all the balloons between the door and crepe paper streamer.
- Then as wake-up time approaches, wait with your camera at the ready. The look of surprise and joy on your birthday child’s face will be priceless. Happy birthday celebrating!

Note: Adult supervision is required when using balloons. Please read all warnings and precautions on the Balloon Time carton.
