This Project Is Part Of The  “Love is Blinding Bridal Shower” Party Series.

Make these shiny gem balloons with Mylar balloons and washi tape.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Cut out an octagon that is about seven inches wide from computer paper. This will be your template for making the gem balloon.
  2. Lay the octagon shape on top of an un-inflated Mylar balloon. Cut pieces of tape the length of the sides of the octagon and adhere them to the balloon around the octagon.
  3. Cut an additional eight strips of tape and run one from each point of the octagon to the edge of the balloon.
  4. Inflate the balloon using the Balloon Time Helium Tank and tie with ribbon.

You can use the same technique on other shapes, like diamonds and cubes, to make other gems.
